Don’t Wait for Perfect: Make Progress Your Superpower

Don’t Wait for Perfect: Make Progress Your Superpower

Every journey begins with a single step. It’s a simple idea, but wow, it really packs a punch, doesn’t it? I think we all know what it’s like to get stuck waiting for the perfect moment or the ideal opportunity. I used to be the same way, always thinking, “Just a little more preparation, and then I’ll start.” But that perfect moment never came.

Perfection is a Myth

Let’s be real: the pursuit of perfection is a trap. I used to convince myself that I needed everything to be flawless before I could start anything new.

I remember this one time, I had this amazing idea for a blog. I spent months tweaking the design, rewriting the first post, and making sure everything was just right. Spoiler alert: I never launched it because I was too caught up in making it perfect.

Nothing will ever be perfect, and waiting for it is just an excuse to avoid starting.

Progress is What Truly Matters

What really matters is progress. It’s all about taking that small step today, no matter how tiny it seems. Back when I first started learning guitar, I wanted to be able to play my favorite songs perfectly right away. But instead, I focused on learning one chord at a time. Slowly but surely, those small steps turned into actual songs. Progress is about leveraging what you already know and taking control of what you can. Each little step forward adds up.

Leverage Your Existing Skills

Here’s a little secret: you already have what you need to start. I used to think I needed to learn so much more before I could begin any new project. But then I realized, I could use what I already had. For instance, when I wanted to get into digital marketing, I didn’t wait until I was an expert. I used my existing skills in writing and design to create simple but effective ads and content. It wasn’t perfect, but it was progress.

Focus on What You Can Control

Life is full of stuff we can’t control, but there’s plenty that we can. When I first started my fitness journey, I couldn’t control the weather, my work schedule, or a lot of other things.

But I could control setting aside 30 minutes each day for a workout. By focusing on what I could manage, I started seeing results. It’s the same with any journey. Control what you can, set small goals, and keep moving forward.

Success is About Moving Forward

Success isn’t about having everything figured out. Trust me, I’ve learned this the hard way. It’s about taking that next step, even if it’s a baby step. When I look back at some of my achievements, they all started with one small action.

Writing a book? It began with a single page.Running a marathon? It started with a single mile. Each small step you take is a victory, and over time, those steps add up to something amazing.

Don’t Wait. Start Now.

The most important step you can take is the first one. Seriously, don’t wait for the perfect moment because it doesn’t exist. Start now. Embrace the imperfections, use your current skills, and focus on making progress. I promise, each step you take will bring you closer to your goals and make your dreams a reality.

Remember, every journey begins with a single step. Take that step today, and you’ll be amazed at how far you can go. Let’s do this!

The Digital Profiteer Mindset: Achieve Your Goals and Dreams

The Digital Profiteer Mindset: Achieve Your Goals and Dreams

In this issue I want to delve into the importance of cultivating a winning mindset to achieve your goals and dreams.

You are on the path to creating and designing the life you’ve always envisioned. To help you succeed, I’m going to share some exercises that will equip you with a CEO mindset—one geared for success.

Remember, our brains are wired to keep us safe and comfortable, often pulling us back into old patterns and routines. But with the right mindset, you can break free from those constraints.

In today’s rapidly changing job market, disruptions are the norm. Many professionals find themselves at a crossroads, needing to adapt to the digital revolution.

Embracing digital marketing and online business opportunities is key to not just surviving but thriving in this new landscape. By leveraging the power of digital marketing, you can create a sustainable income stream that is not tied to the whims of the job market.

Exercise 1: Define Your Goals

First, grab a piece of paper and a pen. Write down your main goal. What are you truly aiming to achieve? Pour your heart into it—no one else needs to see this. Visualize your goal so vividly that you can see it happening.

When you can see it and believe it, you can achieve it.

For example, if your goal is to earn $500,000 a year in online digital marketing, imagine what that would look like: a healthy bank account, debt-free living, and the ability to enjoy more time with your family.

Learning Digital Marketing, Working Less, and Gaining Family Time

Digital marketing is a powerful tool that allows you to work smarter, not harder.

By mastering digital marketing strategies, you can automate much of your business, freeing up time to spend with your family and pursue other interests.

Imagine creating a marketing campaign that runs 24/7, generating leads and sales while you enjoy quality time with your loved ones.

Exercise 2: Visualize Your Success

I discovered this process back in June of 2022. At the time, I was stressed out and working 60-70 hours a week for a salary I knew was not equal to my value I was providing to the company.  But once I visualized myself earning 5 times that much as a digital profiteer, seeing the impact it would have on my life, I was able to achieve it.

Visualizing your success isn’t just about dreaming—it’s about believing in your potential to reach that next level. When I hit my goal, I felt immense gratitude but also a sense of inevitability because I had already envisioned it.

Pursuing Passions and Skills in the Digital Economy

The digital economy offers endless opportunities to monetize your passions and skills. Whether you’re a writer, content creator, artist, consultant, or coach, there’s a market for your expertise online.

By building a personal brand and sharing your story, you can attract an audience that values what you offer, turning your passions into profitable ventures.

Exercise 3: Write a Letter to Your Future Self

Here’s an excercise that will have an enormous impact on you.

  1. Write a letter to yourself dated one year from today.
  2. Thank yourself for starting this journey.
  3. Describe how you feel having achieved your goals.
  4. What does your life look like?
  5. How do you spend your days?
  6. Include specifics, such as enjoying financial freedom or spending more quality time with loved ones.
  7. Seal this letter in an envelope with an open date set for one year from today.
  8. Place it somewhere safe and don’t open it until that date.
  9. This exercise reinforces your commitment to your goals and gives you a tangible reminder of your vision.

Learning to Brand Yourself and Profit from Your Story

Your personal brand is your unique selling point. By effectively branding yourself, you can stand out in a crowded market and attract loyal followers.

Share your journey, your successes, and your lessons learned. People connect with authentic stories and are more likely to trust and buy from someone they relate to.

Maintaining the Winning Mindset

Listen, it’s not all going to be a bed of roses. Trust me on this one.

Doubt and uncertainty will inevitably creep in.

I’m a father of four kids, and trust me, it hasn’t always been easy. But I never quit on my kids, and I won’t quit on my goals.

You must remind yourself that the journey is worth it.

Challenges are part of the process, and overcoming them is what leads to growth and success.

Example of Focusing on the Positive

Here’s another exercise to illustrate the power of focus.

Look around your room right now and count everything that is blue.

Now, close your eyes and try to recall everything in the room that is yellow.

It’s difficult, right?

That’s because you were focused on the blue items.

Similarly, if you focus on doubts and setbacks, that’s what you’ll notice and attract. Instead, focus on your goals and the positive steps you’re taking toward them.

The Power of Community

Being part of a supportive community is invaluable. I belong to a community of over 15,000+ members, including many five, six, and seven-figure earners.  Everyone is there to lift you up, encourage you, and remind you why you started.

I encourage you to engage with a community, share your journey, and draw inspiration from others who have walked the same path.

Final Thoughts

Remember, what you believe is what you will achieve.

When I started, I struggled with limiting beliefs and lacked confidence.

But I realized that if I didn’t change my mindset, nothing else would change.

By telling myself daily, “If they can do it, I can do it,” I transformed my reality. I went from having no following, no email list, and no tech skills to Limitless Freedom.

Show up every day as the person you aspire to be.

Embrace the mindset of a finisher, someone who sees their goals through to completion.

Believe in your ability to achieve your dreams, follow a proven process, and leverage the support of a like-minded community.

With this mindset, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Here’s to your success!

By Changing This One Behavior, You Can Overcome Any Obstacle

By Changing This One Behavior, You Can Overcome Any Obstacle

At the time of writing this article, sh** has gone a bit crazy in the world.

AI seems to to be taking over almost everything, the Middle East is literally blowing up, and we are on the road to another crazy US election. We are being bombarded from every direction with negative information. If we allow it, our attention and our emotions can take a negative beating.

Focusing too much on the mundane and negative can have us in a wad fast! But, you can change that quickly with the right focus and the right attitude.

Attitude is everything

A positive attitude can help you overcome challenges, learn new skills, achieve your goals, and enjoy your life. A positive attitude can also boost your self-confidence, motivation, and resilience.

The most successful business owners, from the Sam Walton to Bill Gates, have all been able to triumph in the face of adversity. It is those successful business owners many people have in mind when they tell you that attitude is everything.

We all know that the old saying that attitude is everything is true, but how you deal with that knowledge that will determine your level of success, or your lack of success.

One of the most important ways to implement that attitude is everything axiom, is to watch who you associate with and with whom you surround yourself. That is because surrounding yourself with shitty and negative people can cause their attitudes to rub off on you. When people say attitude is everything, that applies to negative attitudes as well as positive ones.

Surrounding yourself with those people exhibiting positive attitudes, however, will also be contagious, but in a good way. Keeping your network of associates, colleagues, coworkers and friends as positive as possible is a great way to put the phrase “attitude is everything into practical use.

Whatever you decide to do in life, your attitude will have a profound effect on the success you achieve. Success, whether in the world of business or in your personal life, is directly related to your attitude, and the attitude you bring to your work.

A positive attitude will help you achieve greater success in your job, no matter what your current level of employment. Many people are still able to work their way up through their companies, even in today’s competitive environment. Exhibiting a positive attitude can go a long way toward helping you get the most from your employment, and it can help you get the attention of those in a position to help your career as well. That is because those business achievers are likely to understand that attitude is everything, and they can recognize your positive attitude and award it appropriately.

A positive can do attitude is important to being a quality employee, but taking the phrase attitude is everything to heart is absolutely essential if you plan to start your own business. Whether your plans are for a one person part time enterprise, or a nationwide company employing hundreds or thousands of people, the attitude you express will be reflected in your business and in the members of your staff. If you show a positive attitude to your employees, they will be willing to go the extra miles to make your business thrive, and everyone will benefit.

Final thoughts

Slap the proverbial sh** out of the negativity and cling to anything that keeps your attitude positive, because with a positive attitude there isn’t any obstacle or circumstance you cannot overcome on your way to success.

How to Overcome Obsessive Thinking and Become Laser Focused

How to Overcome Obsessive Thinking and Become Laser Focused

Steve Harvey is a great success in my opinion but it wasn’t always a bed of roses for him. He lived gig-to-gig in his early days in stand-up, and then he hit a bump in the road. One or two of his gigs fell through, and suddenly he was homeless. There are many other stories in his life similar to that one, but he kept going and never looked back. Now, Steve Harvey’s success has resulted in one of the most prolific brands in Hollywood.

Why?

Because he had a plan and a vision that he went after with relentless pursuit.

If you remain unproductive for long, you’ll lose your sense of direction. A clear vision and focus can become the solution.

Steve Harvey

Without a plan and focus, everything is doomed right from the start.

You MUST have a plan. If not a concrete one, at least have a basic idea of how you’re going to reach your goals. It’s the least you can do for yourself.

Let’s say you want to have a better relationship with your wife. Think about ways to do it and some of the things you may have to think about are….what does your wife like, what would make her feel good, how would you like the relationship to change, what would make you feel happy with the marriage….etc. After identifying areas of change, devise a plan that can help you work towards a better marriage. If it’s more business you want, devise a plan that won’t break your bank account to help bring in more sales. Creative ideas and innovative execution if often required.

It’s easy for any single one of us to get distracted in the middle of our journey, no matter how gung-ho we started out in the beginning. At the starting point, you’re excited and raring to go; towards the middle, it gets harder and you’re struggling to remember why you’re doing this in the first place. And when you get past the hardest part, it’s the final leg of your journey, the focus and the endurance part. It’s like trying to kick a drinking problem. In order to be successful, you have to consistently work towards that goal, make an effort to REMEMBER that goal and repeatedly psyche yourself up for it every single day.

Focus, Danielson!

Mr. Miyagi

Most successful athletes use this technique to help them get their Gold medals. If you want to quit the rat race of working a dull and time sucking job to do what you love instead, you’ve got to sit or lay down and visualize yourself doing just that. You’re happy and financially free, in your vision. You see, the more you visualize yourself in the situation, the more you’ll want it. The more you want it to happen, your conscious and unconscious mind will help you strive and work towards that goal. And when your mind is committed to the goal, everything falls into its rightful place to make it happen.

Yes, you’ve got a plan and yes, you’ve got a sense of purpose now. But does this mean that you cannot change your plans or alter your purpose? Of course it doesn’t mean that.

Part of the process of reaching your goal requires that you remain open to other people’s ideas, input, feedback and thoughts. As soon as you spot something better, you have to grab it, evaluate it, decide whether you want to use the idea or not or how it would fit into your plan, and then discard it or use it. Your focus and your goal remains the same, but the process can change. If you are not adaptable to change, you may be losing out to your competition or your peers because they’re catching on with the latest technology and trends and reaching their goals faster than you.

Final Thought

Don’t let the devil rob you of your destiny. Stop obsessively thinking about what you want. Get a Plan, Get focused, Visualize the outcome and get started NOW!
